A great start has been made by the Craigielaw Gents team in the Edinburgh Summer League this year.
The team won 5 1/2 – 2 /12 against Mortonhall last night and so far the team have won 2 of their first 3 matches and are strongly placed in their group.
Meanwhile team member, Angus Carrick goes solo up at Cruden Bay this weekend to represent the club in the Scottish Amateur Open Strokeplay Championship, hopefully he can add the strokeplay title to his Scottish amateur matchplay title.
Angus has also been away this past couple of weeks playing in the Brabazon Trophy (English Amateur Strokeplay) and also the Lytham Trophy.
Next week he is playing the St. Andrews Links Trophy followed by The Amateur Championship at Lytham.
